I'm not sleepy though!
When you wake up, the Hero will be there and you will guide him.

I wanted to draw Hylia and Fi before Fi's spirit was sealed into the Goddess Sword. And then, AND THEN, I had the genius idea to draw baby Fi. Baby Fi is now my favorite thing ever.

I like to imagine Fi and Hylia being super close, regardless if they barely said a word to one another in Skyward Sword, and Fi always at Hylia's temple and even playing with The Goddess' Chosen Hero when Hylia wasn't around. And when the battle started and the Hero couldn't be around that often, she made her own little Hero doll. And one night, after a particularly rough battle, Hylia realized her power wasn't enough to defeat Demise, so she came up with her two plans and to lift a section of land into the sky. She knew how loyal Fi was to her, and even though it pained her, she felt Fi was the only person she could trust who could guide the future Hero in ending Demise. So she told baby Fi that she would sleep. And one day she would wake up and guide the Hero. Seeing how Demise had so much hate and anger that would be reincarnated, Hylia, who was now Zelda, realized that if she restored Fi, the future hero's wouldn't have a weapon strong enough to defeat pure hate and evil. So, regrettably, she told the Hero of the Skies to rest the sword in a pedestal for future heroes to draw.
